Age: 37

Hometown: Clarksville

Education:

MSSW, LCSW, CCTP, ABD (All but dissertation)-PhD in progress

Job/Responsibilities:

I am the Founder and Clinical Director of Heart 2 Heart Wellness Center. I am tasked with cultivating the creative direction of the brand, identifying our goals as a wellness center, educating our community on the value of using a holistic approach to wellness, identifying community partners to join with and ensuring that all team members are excellent in their respective disciplines to provide quality care to our clients. It’s important that our clients feel warmth, comfort and partnership with our providers as they prioritize their self care and mental wellness.

Family:

I am so proud to be a part of my family. My father is Glenn Bell who is a retired Army Veteran, trained as a culinary chef as a second career and most importantly is a person who gives of himself to people who have been in need of connection and guidance. My mother Dawn Bell, a retired special education teacher’s assistant, always demonstrated how important it is to go a little deeper with those whose behaviors are designed to push you away because often they are the ones that need you the most. My sister, Ashley Benoit, who is bold and has always done life by her own rules, is also in the unofficial family business of helping others as she is the Clinical Director of an autism center providing imperative life skills for children and families.

What’s your favorite place to unwind?

I always find peace near water at a lake or beach. Being near a body of water always creates an instant deep exhale for me. My favorite place to feel restored and peaceful is actually New Orleans. I did several mission trips there after Hurricane Katrina and fell in love with the spirit of the city and the resiliency of the people. I typically avoid the large events and find myself in the gardens, on the lake and even enjoying the beauty of the willows in the swamp.

Who is your favorite superhero and why?

My favorite superhero is Wonder Woman because she was a founding member of the Justice League and was all about using her strength to promote equality and justice for those around her.

Favorite movie?

My all-time favorite movie is Beauty and the Beast. It brings warm childhood memories with my sister and I singing at the top of our lungs around our home. This may be where my love for musicals and Broadway began.

What’s on your playlist?

I’m currently listening to a very interesting mix of Broadway show tunes and spa music which has proven to be oddly satisfying.

What’s your motto for life?

Acknowledge it → Allow it → Accept it → Release it → Repeat
